Grant Roser-Ward's Cycling Fundraiser for Stem Cell Research

After completing one of our recent Rockingham Schools one of our students, Grant Roser-Ward, informed us that he is taking part in a cycling fundraiser from Lands End to John O’Groats in May 2014 to raise as much money as possible for Stem Cell Research – a cause very close to Grant’s own heart.

Having suffered a broken neck in a cycling accident in 2004, he was initially paralysed from the neck down for several months. With true grit and determination during a very long period of recovery, Grant is now at the stage where he is able to walk, despite permanent nerve burning and muscle spasms and he has already walked to the top of Ben Nevis – as well as completing all four levels of the California Superbike School of course!

Grant truly believes that stem cell research is the way forward for spinal injuries and will lead to major recovery for victims, as well as other diseases and disabilities. We’ll be following his progress next year, so please dig deep and give generously. Details of Grant’s ‘JustGiving’ fundraising page can be found here: http://bit.ly/10OqdnM
